Supporting India’s Eastern Fleet During Strategic Port Call in Singapore

Marunda leadership recently had the privilege of joining Singapore’s diplomatic, defence, and industrial community onboard the INS Shakti (A57) for a welcome reception honouring four Indian Naval ships of the Eastern Fleet — INS Delhi (D61), INS Shakti (A57), INS Satpura (F48), and INS Kiltan (P30) — during their strategic port call to Singapore from 16–19 July 2025.

The event was highlighted by remarks from Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, and Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF). Both emphasised India’s vision of Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) — a geopolitical framework for maritime cooperation in the Indian Ocean region — underscoring the importance of strengthening naval cooperation, enhancing joint readiness, and expanding maritime collaboration between Singapore and India.

During the port visit, Marunda provided engineering support services and vital piping repairs to INS Delhi and INS Kiltan under the professional direction of Parsh Marine (S) Pte Ltd. The Marunda team is proud to have played a supporting role in enabling the Task Group’s mission across the Indo-Pacific.

The women and men of Marunda extend their best wishes to the ships and crews of the Eastern Sword for a safe and successful deployment in the region.
