Marunda was recently awarded a competitive contract under the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Singapore to provide critical engineering support services for the USS WAYNE E. MEYER (DDG-108), an Arleigh Burke-class Flight IIA Aegis guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy.
The scope of work included:
- Crane services for operations at extreme heights
- Rigging services for onboard logistics and maintenance
All services were delivered with the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical oversight from the Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) Det Singapore.
The project was a complete team effort, involving close collaboration between Marunda’s engineers, the ship’s force, and SRF Det Singapore personnel to ensure the vessel’s timely return to patrol. This expeditionary afloat support directly enhances the Navy’s mission readiness and operational availability in safeguarding a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
Marunda extends its warmest wishes and salutes the proud crew of the USS WAYNE E. MEYER.
