Singapore — Marunda Private Limited is proud to announce that Founder and Managing Director Rachel Wong has been awarded the 2025 Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) CLA Global TS Entrepreneurship Award, a recognition presented annually to a past SOE Honouree who has significantly advanced their enterprise since their original award. Rachel was first honoured in 2019.
The SOE Awards 2025, held on 27 October at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, brought together over 600 guests to celebrate 53 outstanding entrepreneurs. The event highlighted the importance of enterprise, resilience, and innovation in shaping Singapore’s business landscape. The evening also featured remarks by Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development.
Rachel Wong’s award underscores Marunda’s continued growth as a defence engineering company supporting customers across Singapore, Guam, and the wider Indo-Pacific. Over four decades, Marunda has built strong capabilities in naval afloat expeditionary repair and maintenance, serving regional fleets and critical maritime operations. The company attributes its progress to a skilled team, long-term partnerships, and a commitment to delivering a consistently reliable customer service experience.
The recognition marks another milestone for Marunda’s journey as it expands its role in defence engineering and strengthens its presence in the region.
