Insul-Dex by Dex-O-Tex is a lightweight, trowel-applied calcium aluminate cement deck underlayment system designed to provide fire resistance and thermal insulation. It meets stringent US Coast Guard and International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards for A60 fire protection, tested according to IMO FTP Part 1 and Part 3. Ideal for applications requiring fire resistance and thermal insulation, Insul-Dex is commonly used over engine rooms, passenger areas, bulk fuel tanks, and living quarters on drilling rigs, as well as on commercial vessels, cruise ships, ferries, and military marine crafts.
