AMCHAM Cares Awards

As a proud member of AmCham Singapore, Marunda is pleased to spotlight our company’s commitment to society through the annual AmCham CARES Awards Platform. The Team at Marunda are always eager to share about the lives we have touched, the communities we uplift and the futures we help shape through our CSR program’s social inclusion approach. Marunda’s CSR program has been hallmarked by our outreach programs to those differently abled, young entrepreneurs, students, cultural programs, our community’s senior citizens and our Singapore veteran’s community.

Navy League of the United States - Singapore Council

For over a decade, Marunda has been a proud sponsor of the Navy League of the United States - Singapore Council. At Marunda we share in the NLUS values in supporting the United States Sea Services; the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command, the US Merchant Marine and the United States Coast Guard that ensure freedom of the seas around Singapore and throughout the world.

Sandbag Veteran's Society

It is within this same value chain of giving back to those who have, or currently are, sacrificing on our behalf, that Marunda has selected to join and fully support the Sandbag Veteran’s Society in Singapore. The Sandbag Veteran’s Society was formed over a decade ago by like-minded ex-service/military personnel living and working in Singapore. It has grown and become a group consisting of “ex” or serving British, Commonwealth and American military and police/first responders based in Singapore, to meet, chat, share experiences and simply “pull up a sandbag” together. Most Sandbag members are combat veterans that rely heavily on the society for comradery, support, mental-health outreach, and friendship. It is the only Veteran’s Society listed within the Singapore Registry of Societies.

Spirit of Enterprise

Marunda has had the Spirit of Enterprise within its CSR Program portfolio for many years. The Spirit of Enterprise aims to Honour and Inspire. The SOE has spent over two decades honoring home-grown entrepreneurs, and initiating and executing programmes for young beneficiaries, giving them opportunities to interact with and learn from entrepreneurs.

SUN-DAC

Singapore Shui Lian Gong Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe

Simply stated, Lion Dance Troupes are a significant part of Singapore’s culture, especially around the Chinese New Year Holiday. The Team at Marunda chose this local dance Troupe to be a part of our CSR program this year for several reasons. Predominantly, we felt that it was important to promote the local Singapore Lion Dance culture among the youth and to also promote Singaporean youth in the benefits of the gymnastics and athleticism it takes to be a part of a local dance troupe.

Sembawang Central Senior Citizens

Marunda’s CSR program was thrilled to participate in the Sembawang Central Senior Citizens Hong Bao Presentation and Lohei 2024 at the Sembawang Community Club in February 2024. With over 500 senior citizens in attendance, it was a wonderful way for our staff to give back to the most cherished in our society.
